Sonja Inglin's broad-based environmental law practice includes state and federal court environmental litigation and related proceedings before administrative agencies. She regularly advises clients on issues involving environmental, health and safety requirements and compliance issues under state, federal and local laws, with a focus on requirements specific to California (including Proposition 65).
Sonja is also experienced in addressing environmental issues arising out of the purchase and sale of businesses and real property and successor liability issues resulting from such transactions.
Sonja handles environmental litigation under the major federal and related state environmental laws, among them CERCLA and its California equivalent, the Hazardous Substances Account Act, the Clean Air Act and California air quality laws, and the Clean Water Act and the related California water quality statutes. She also handles environmental litigation involving contractual and state common law claims as well as defending toxic tort lawsuits brought under California's Proposition 65. Examples include:
